A man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison after he was found guilty of defiling a 15-year-old girl.
The accused was convicted of the offence after the prosecution proved its case beyond a reasonable doubt by presenting six witnesses.
The court heard that he committed the act while the mother of the minor was away.
The court therefore jailed him for 20 years and emphasized that the punishment would serve as a strong deterrent to those who prey on children.
The case had been delayed since the suspect had been out on bond before being rearrested.
