The court has directed the Director of Public Prosecutions, Renson Ingonga, to consult EACC regarding the former Governor Okoth Obado’s corruption case withdrawal.
The decision comes a month after Ingonga had sought to withdraw the charges against Obado.
However, EACC claimed that they had not signed the agreement making the court question the agreement that the DPP already had with the former governor.
Obado has been in court for over four years, facing charges of abuse of office, conspiracy to commit an economic crime, money laundering, and unlawful acquisition of public property.
The matter will be mention on November 7, 2025
