Kaninjeiwa village residents in Kericho have demonstrated after the brutal murder of a form four boy.
Reports indicate that he body of the 18-year-old was discovered near Kipteran River, 10 kilometres from his home, under mysterious circumstances.
Sources indicate that the police were nonchalant about, the murder case prompting community-wide protests to compel authorities to respond.
This was after numerous calls for investigations and answers.
This comes days after the Evojo Primary school was closed indefinitely due to the body parts of an unknown individual found in the school toilet.
According to reports, a pupil who had been assigned to clean the latrine found the dismembered body and became terrified prompting the pupil to alert the school administration.
The authorities believed that the dismembered body was dumped at the school but the killing occurred elsewhere.
The police, therefore, urged anyone with information that could help identify the victim or the perpetrators behind the incident to come forward.
