The authorities have uncovered 33 bodies at a suspected mass grave.
According to reports, the recovered bodies include both adults and minors, as significant number of the remains are believed to be teenagers and young children.
Reports indicate that after exhumation, it was discovered that of the 33 bodies, 25 were underage, while adults were eight.
Further reports indicate that earlier in the day, detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) had started the exhumation process at the site that was suspected to have at least 14 bodies.

The exercise was supervised by the Director of Homicide, Martin Nyuguto, and a government pathologist representing Chief Government Pathologist Johansen Oduor.
As detectives exhumed the bodies, government pathologists were examining them to determine what might have caused their deaths.
Additionally , the case came to limelight on Saturday, when two grave diggers working at the cemetery discovered the graves, before reporting the matter to Kericho Police Station.
According to police reports, the grave diggers said a group of unidentified individuals had approached the cemetery caretaker earlier in the week and held discussions before leaving.
