Kenya Shipyards Limited has warned the public against a fake recruitment scheme circulating online, saying the advertisements being shared on various digital platforms are fraudulent and not linked to the company.
The firm noted that the misleading job posts are being used by scammers to target unsuspecting job seekers and urged the public to exercise caution and avoid engaging with the individuals behind the scheme.
It further advised anyone contacted by the fraudsters to report the matter to the nearest police station or reach out directly through its official communication channels for verification and assistance.

Kenya Shipyards emphasized that all genuine job opportunities are only advertised through its official website and approved print media outlets.
The company also reminded applicants that its recruitment process is free of charge and does not require any payments at any stage.
The warning comes amid a rise in similar scams targeting job seekers online, with Kenya Railways recently cautioning the public over fake social media accounts impersonating the corporation and offering fraudulent Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) booking services.
Kenya Railways clarified that it does not operate official TikTok accounts and urged passengers to rely only on verified communication channels for ticketing and customer support services to avoid falling victim to online fraud.
