Famous rapper Kendrick Lamar who recently won a grammy performed at the Super Bowl Halftime show.
The rapper had announced last year in September that he would perform at the show.
Eagerly waiting for his performance, his fans were curious to know whether he would perform his highly popular diss track Not Like Us.
Many fans speculated that he would skip the song but were shocked as Kendrick went on stage last night and performed the track.
The diss track gained controversy last year when it was released in May since it faced a defamation lawsuit filed by Drake against Universal Music Group.
Universal Music Group is the parent record label under which both musicians are signed.
However, during the Super Bowl Halftime show, Kendrick performed the song Not like us sticking to the song’s original lyrics and called out Drake by name.
It was noticeable that he skipped over the use of Pedophiles in the song but had the scream at full volume Tryna strike a chord and it’s probably a full minor.
But at the end, fans did not have the same reaction.
“I hate that kendrick made his career revolve around Drake now. He not even performing his classic songs” one of the fans stated.
The song was one of the of 2024’s biggest hit which claimed its position at Billboard Hot 100 and 20 weeks at No.1 on the Hot Rap songs chart.
Apart from that, the song won all the five awards it was nominated for in Grammys 2025.
