Kasmuel McOure has launched a movement called the Broad-Based Youth Front to directly lobby the government on youth issues.
In a statement on Tuesday, December 9, McOure affirmed that he will not take direction from any politician who did not participate in the June 2024 youth protests.
The ODM Youth League member explained that the movement will champion the interests of young people independently, without relying on political intermediaries.

He added that the Broad-Based Youth Front will hold the government accountable until it fully delivers on its mandate, emphasizing that political popularity or status will not influence the movement’s advocacy.
McOure highlighted that the initiative aims to ensure youth affairs are addressed directly, after years of politicians sidelining young people.
According to him, the Broad-Based Youth Front will work with all leaders, especially those in President Ruto’s administration, since public responsibility lies with them.
Kasmuel went on to state that he will reach out to the youth leagues across the broad-based formation, beginning with the UDA party, to secure an audience with party leaders and present the youth blueprint.
He further noted that the movement will pressure the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy, and Sports, accusing it of failing to deliver to the young people.
