According to reports, the students went on a rampage on Sunday, July 20, calling for action against the teacher.
Unable to handle the situation, the principal of the school, Madam Clara Mitei, sanctioned closure until further notice and the students were asked to leave the school immediately.
The alumnae laid blame on the school management for what they said was being lenient to the teacher for the long while he has been in the school.
They called on the state agencies, including the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), to intervene.
This came days after Basic Education Principal Secretary Julius Bitok declared that the government would not tolerate instances of sexual exploitation perpetrated against learners by their teachers.
He warned that the government would crack down on the predators leveraging their positions in the institutions of learning to abuse the young children in their custody.
