Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa is mourning the death of his brother, Silas Barasa.
The Governor confirmed the passing of his brother on Sunday, June 14, revealing that he died after a short illness.
“It is with deep sorrow that I announce the passing of my younger brother, Silas Barasa, following a short illness,” the governor stated.
While mourning his brother, Barasa described him as not only known for his generosity but also his willingness to help others, qualities that endeared him to family members, friends and all who knew him.
“Silas was a humble, kind-hearted, and hardworking man whose generosity and willingness to help endeared him to many. His passing is a profound loss to our family, relatives, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him,” he added.
Additionally , he noted that funeral and burial arrangements will be communicated at a later date as the family comes to terms with the loss.
Barasa further asked the members of the public for privacy and prayers during this difficult period, wishing his brother eternal rest.
