EPRA Announces June Fuel Prices as Diesel Sees Major Drop

The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has announced a reduction in pump prices for petrol and diesel for the June-July cycle.

In the latest review, Super Petrol will now retail at Ksh214.03 per litre in Nairobi, while Diesel will cost Ksh222.86 per litre.

Kerosene remains unchanged at Ksh191.38 per litre.

According to the regulator, the maximum allowed pump price for Super Petrol has decreased by Ksh0.22 per litre, while Diesel has dropped by Ksh10.00 per litre in the latest pricing cycle.

“In accordance with Section 101(y) of the Petroleum Act, 2019 and Legal Notice No. 192 of 2022, the maximum retail prices of petroleum products have been calculated for the period 15th June 2026 to 14th July 2026. During this review period, the maximum pump price for Super Petrol has decreased by KSh0.22 per litre and Diesel by KSh10.00 per litre, while the price of Kerosene remains unchanged”, the statement read.

The new prices take effect from midnight and will remain in force for the next 30 days under the Petroleum Act 2019 and the Petroleum Pricing Regulations.

EPRA says the changes follow movements in the global cost of importing these products into the country.

The landed cost of Super Petrol fell by 0.56 per cent, from Ksh117,339 to Ksh116,600 (USD906.23 to USD901.16) per cubic meter between April and May.
