Huduma Kenya has dismissed claims of an ongoing mass recruitment drive following the circulation of a purported appointment letter online.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, February 24, the agency clarified that the letter is fraudulent and did not originate from Huduma Kenya or any government office.
The agency urged the public to disregard the fake document, emphasizing that any recruitment notices, updates, or official communication are only disseminated through its verified platforms, including the official website, the Huduma Contact and Tele-Counselling Centre (1919), and its authenticated social media accounts.

“Huduma Kenya wishes to alert wananchi that a fraudulent appointment letter, which has been circulating online, is not authentic and should be disregarded. All official Huduma Kenya communications are issued only through our verified channels, including our official website, Huduma Contact and Tele-Counselling Centre 1919, and verified social media accounts,” the statement read.
Huduma Kenya also advised members of the public to remain cautious and verify the authenticity of any recruitment-related information before responding.
The agency encouraged Kenyans to confirm such details directly through its official channels and to promptly report any suspicious or fraudulent documents to the relevant authorities.
This development comes barely a week after the State Department for Diaspora Affairs issued a public alert warning Kenyans about a fraudulent job scheme promising employment opportunities in Luxembourg.
In a statement dated Monday, February 16, the department clarified that the advertised opportunities were not legitimate and formed part of a coordinated scam targeting job seekers.
Preliminary investigations established that unauthorized individuals were soliciting money from applicants while falsely posing as accredited recruitment agents for Luxembourg-based employment opportunities.
The State Department for Diaspora Affairs clarified that direct recruitment for jobs in Luxembourg is only allowed through official channels and no private entity is authorized to collect placement fees.
The department warned that any attempt to bypass established procedures is illegal and urged job seekers to rely solely on verified government sources for overseas employment opportunities.
