Massive destruction as goons stormed and vandalized the Isiolo County Assembly chambers on the night of August 26.
Photos of the incident shared online showed tables and chairs in the assembly chambers destroyed.
The vandalism disrupted operations in the assembly and prevented Wednesday’s planned sittings.

In a statement, former Isiolo Deputy Governor Abdi Issa condemned the incident, warning that democracy is crumbling in the county.
Abdi asked President Ruto to intervene, disband the Isiolo County government, and establish a caretaker administration.
The attack on the assembly comes after Isiolo County Assembly Speaker Mohamed Roba was arrested by officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations(DCI) along Thika Road.
The speaker was held at the Ruaraka Police Station until Wednesday morning before he was moved to an unknown location.
This is not the first time an attack has happened at the Isiolo County Assembly.
