She noted that recent tragic events, including devastating floods and ongoing disease outbreaks, make reflection an important part of understanding and responding to the challenges faced by the public health system.
The PS clarified that her emotional expression in the video was a personal reflection on these challenges, and not an indication of distress.
She emphasised that the video was a way of connecting with the realities facing the country, rather than a display of sadness.
Muthoni reassured the public that she was sober, composed, and not crying.
She stressed that the TikTok video reflected her thoughts on the responsibilities of safeguarding the health of millions of Kenyans and should not be misinterpreted.
The clarification comes amid public attention over a TikTok video she posted on Saturday, March 7, in which she appeared emotional.
The video, set to an inspirational gospel song, has since garnered over 158,000 views, 5,300 likes, and more than 400 comments, sparking widespread discussion online.
