Tanzanian gospel singer Goodluck Gozbert has decided to disclose why he burned a Mercedes Benz preacher Geor Davie gifted him in 2021.

“I did not have any relations with the preacher up until when he gifted me the vehicle.

The gospel singer went on to admit that he was shocked by the gift and he saw nothing wrong with it at that time relating it to the scripture.
“It was a surprise. But I saw nothing wrong as the wise men brought Jesus gifts.”
He moreover disclosed that the Mercedes Benz came with its share of trouble after a while.
“People who hated me started wishing bad on me. They started praying that I had an accident. They were asking how did they give me a vehicle yet other people are struggling?”
According to Goodluck, he could not discern between enemies and friends, after rumours emerged that he was not driving the Mercedes as frequently, information only those close to him would know.
The artist said God warned him against driving the vehicle but he did not initially listen.
“Only spiritual people would understand. I received instructions twice but I did not heed them.”
He continued to explain that a friend borrowed the vehicle for a wedding and when he returned it, God once again warned him not to give out the car or drive it.
Seeing the vehicle might lead to his death, he decided to burn it.
The singer raised debate online after burning the vehicle in a video shared on Friday, January 24.
The musician drove the car to a deserted place, doused it with petrol before setting it on fire.
