Geoffrey Mosiria, the Chief Officer for Environment in Nairobi county, has been recognised as Kenya’s Best Chief Officer.
The Chief Officer was recognised at the prestigious Starleaders Awards hosted by Politrack Africa Ltd at the JW Marriott Hotel in Nairobi.
He was honored for outstanding leadership and dedication to environmental conservation, sustainable waste management, and innovative green initiatives that have transformed Nairobi’s environmental landscape.

Speaking after receiving the award, Mosiria dedicated the recognition to the people of Nairobi.
He emphasized that their support, commitment, and collaboration have played a major role in achieving environmental progress.
Mosiria went on to note that the award will motivate him to work extra hard for the Nairobi residents.
“Thank you, Starleaders Awards by Politrack Africa, for recognising our work and honoring me as the Best Chief Officer in Environment in Kenya. I don’t take this for granted. This recognition not only motivates me to work harder but also reaffirms that God sees and rewards our efforts. I remain committed to making society better than I found it,” Mosiria said.
He did not forget to express gratitude to Governor Johnson Sakaja for his unwavering support in championing environmental policies and to the entire Nairobi County environment team for their relentless efforts in implementing key projects and initiatives.
For a while now Nairobi has seen significant advancements in waste management, noise pollution control, green space restoration, and environmental education programs aimed at fostering a culture of sustainability among residents under his leadership.
