Approximately 109 candidates have been shortlisted for the Principal Secretary (PS) position.
The openings for the positions were announced were announced in November 2024.
The deadline for the submissions was until 4th December 2024.

According to the public service commission secretary, the new vacancies arose for reassignments within various government ranks which created a need for new public secretaries.
This followed the signing of performance contracts by the current Principal Secretaries at State House.
Among those nominated are prominent figures in Kenya.
They included former nominated Member of Parliament Wilson Sossion , blogger Gabriel Oguda and former Nairobi Governor Anne Kananu Mwenda.
Others included Chief Administrative Secreatary David Osiany, Director-general for Health Dr. Patrick Amoth, Former KCB Managing Director Dr. Naim Bilal, Ambassador Galma Boru, Technology and innovation prof. Shaukat Abdulrazak and Dr. Macharia Irungu among others.
The 109 candidates who have been shortlisted will undergo interviews on a date that has not yet been announced.
After that, names of the successful applicants will be forwarded to the Head of State for formal appointment.
