The committee responsible for planning the funeral of the late Ol Kalou Member of Parliament David Njuguna Kiaraho has announced that he will be laid to rest on Friday, April 10, 2026.
Kinangop MP Kwenya Thuku, who chairs the committee, confirmed on Monday, March 30, that the late MP will be buried at his farm in Tigoni, Kiambu County.
The decision to hold the burial at Tigoni aligns with Kiaraho’s wishes, as he often visited the farm to relax and reflect.

The funeral committee also announced that a church service will be held in Ol Kalou on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Ol Kalou Stadium, giving constituents the opportunity to mourn their late MP.
The family of David Njuguna Kiaraho will spend the Easter weekend at their Ol Kalou home.
A vigil is scheduled at his rural residence on Monday, April 6, ahead of the memorial service at the stadium.
A formal funeral service will take place at St Andrew’s Church in Nairobi on Friday, April 10, 2026, after which Kiaraho will be laid to rest at his farm in Tigoni, Kiambu County.
Kiaraho passed away on Sunday morning, March 29, while undergoing specialized treatment at The Nairobi Hospital. He had been battling cancer and had sought medical care both locally and abroad.
The late legislator was serving his third term in office, having first been elected in 2013 and successfully defending his seat in the 2017 and 2022 elections.
He represented the Jubilee Party in his last two terms before recently aligning with the President William Ruto faction.
