A night fire erupted on Sunday, August 10 at Johnsaga next to Jumia Hospital in Huruma, Nairobi County.
In a statement issued by the Kenya Red Cross Nairobi Branch, the inferno broke out at around 9 PM.
Emergency response teams and firefighters were deployed to the scene to help extinguish the fire.

“A fire incident has been reported at Johnsaga next to Jumia Hospital in Huruma, Nairobi County. Response teams are at the scene, working alongside community members to contain the fire,” Kenya Red Cross stated.
According to reports, the night fire was triggered by a gas explosion, which spread rapidly through the Johnsaga area.
No casualties had been reported from the Huruma fire incident at the time of publishing this article.
This comes weeks after a fire erupted at the Embakasi Girls’ School in Mukuru, Nairobi County.
The Kenya Red Cross confirmed the tragedy and dispatched its emergency response team to manage the situation.
At least three students were injured during the inferno.
