The official match schedule for the FIFA Series 2026 has been released, setting the stage for an exciting international football showcase.
Forty-eight national teams, both men’s and women’s, will compete across 12 groups hosted by 11 FIFA Member Associations. The matches will take place during the March and April 2026 international windows, ensuring global visibility and access for fans everywhere.
This edition builds on the successful pilot in 2024 and continues FIFA’s mission to foster meaningful competition between teams from different confederations.
The initiative, approved in 2022, aligns with FIFA’s Strategic Objectives for the Global Game 2023–2027, promoting football development both on and off the pitch.
The men’s fixtures include standout clashes such as Australia versus Cameroon at Sydney’s Accor Stadium on 27 March, and Kazakhstan against Comoros in Astana on 25 March.
Fans can also look forward to New Zealand hosting Chile and Cabo Verde at Eden Park, while Uzbekistan faces Gabon and Venezuela in Tashkent. These matches highlight the diversity of teams involved, ranging from established football nations to emerging sides.
Kenya’s Harambee Stars will also play two games in the competition against Estonia and either Rwanda or Grenada at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali.
The women’s tournament promises equally compelling encounters. Brazil will host Canada, Korea Republic, and Zambia in Cuiabá, with fixtures like Brazil versus Korea Republic on 11 April and Brazil versus Canada on 18 April.
Côte d’Ivoire will stage matches featuring Mauritania, Pakistan, and Turks and Caicos Islands, while Thailand welcomes Congo DR, Nepal, and an OFC representative team.
Each group will follow formats agreed upon by the participating associations, with either semi-finals and finals or pre-arranged fixtures.
Matches ending in draws will go directly to penalty shoot-outs, adding drama and excitement for fans. This participant-led approach ensures competitiveness while offering valuable opportunities for all teams involved.
