Manchester United football club have sacked Netherlands manager Erik ten Hag after a poor start of the season.

The manager who was seemingly a ‘dead man walking’ for quite a while has finally seen his era at the English club come to an end after a unanimous decision from all club directors.

In a statement by the club on their official website, they thanked Ten Hag for everything he’d done during his time at the club and wished him well for the future.

Going forward, United legend Ruud van Nistelrooy will take charge as interim coach, supported by the current coaching team.

The club has made it very clear that they will be looking for a permanent manager going foward.

Despite winning two trophies, the Carabao and FA cup, Ten Hag’s playing style and underwhelming performances have always been a problem.

His demeanour and response to question in the media also didn’t convince many of his process and this just added on to the fire.

Some of the managers linked to the United job include Xavi, Julian Nagelsmann, Thomas Frank, among others.

Ten Hag leaves Manchester United in 14th in the premier league, closer to relegation than the top 4.
