Police in Samburu County have launched a manhunt after five remandees escaped from custody at Wamba Police Station.

According to reports, the incident began after one of the inmates shouted that a fellow had collapsed inside a cell that had five remandees.
Police on duty went to check what had happened only for the prisoners to push the door from the inside knocking down the police officer.
Following the incident, the police officer sustained sof tissue injuries.
