A detective in the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has surrendered to police in Naivasha following reports linking him to the murder of his wife.
This follows investigations in Nairobi after a 43-year-old woman was found dead inside her house at an apartment in Roysambu, Nairobi.
According to reports, on February 28, 2026, the deceased held a video call with her daughter at around 3.41pm, after which she stopped responding to calls.
This prompted her daughter who was filled with curiosity to resort to checking on her, only to visit the house and find her mother lying lifeless.
The incident was reported to Kasarani Police Station who rushed to the scene and found the body lying on its back in the living room.

DCI Officer surrenders himself in murder of his wife
According to police reports, the deceased had three stab wounds on the left side of the chest and a deep, open wound on the forehead.
A pool of blood was also spotted near the door leading to the corridor, with blood stains also seen on the door frame.
During the investigations, officers recovered a blood-stained knife without a handle, which had been hidden under a kitchen table and believed to have been used ok committing the crime.
Reports indicate that the officer who was based at the DCI Headquarters along Kiambu Road is currently being held at a police station in Naivasha.
He is expected to be transferred to Nairobi today.
