An autopsy has revealed that Emurua Dikirr MP Johana Ng’eno and the five others who died in the fatal plane crash, suffered multiple injuries to vital organs and severe burns.
This was confirmed by Government Pathologist Johansen Oduor who addressed the press on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, and said that the victims suffered severe spinal, chest, and head injuries during the plane crash, as well as varying degrees of burns on their bodies.
Oduor further revealed that the identities of the bodies involved in the accident were identified through forensic examinations.
This has paved ways for the burial arrangements, which according to reports, the rocess is being spearheaded by a special team formed by Speaker Moses Wetang’ula.
According to reports, the helicopter had an emergency landing on February, 28, 2026 , after taking off again, it crashed and burst into flames in Chepkiep, Mosop Sub-county.
According to preliminary reports, the helicopter was flying at a very low altitude before it struck trees and crashed.
Further reports indicate that apart from MP Ng’eno, others killed in the plane crash include the Kenya Forest Service ranger Amos Kipngetich Rotich, photographer Nick Kosgei, teacher Robert Kipkoech Keter, Narok County government Protocol Officer Wycliffe Kiprotich Rono, and Captain George Were.
