Blogger and IT expert Ndiangui Kinyagia has claimed that his life is in danger and has asked the court to protect him.
Speaking after appearing before a judge at the Milimani Law Courts, the blogger made two formal requests.
One for the adjournment of his case, and the second for the court to extend existing orders barring police from arresting him.

“Your Honour, I would like to request the court for two things. Number one, to seek an adjournment of this case. Number two, to request that Your Honour protect me from arrest by the police,” he pleaded during the court session.
Kinyagia explained that he needed time to review an affidavit with his lawyers, Kibe Mungai and Wahome Thuku.
He went on to reiterate his fear of arrest and insisted the court continue to shield him from police custody.
The blogger’s appeal comes weeks after Justice Mwita issued interim protection for the blogger on July 3, ruling that police could not arrest or detain him. Instead, if investigators wished to record a statement from him, it was to be done in the presence of his legal team.
Kinyagia had been linked to the June 25 protests, suspected to be behind a widely circulated protest timetable.
