Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has warned individuals he suspects of being moles against joining the Linda Mwananchi movement with intentions to undermine its activities.
Speaking in Meru on Sunday, August 30, Babu reaffirmed his support for Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna as a presidential candidate and called for opposition leaders to rally behind him.
The MP said his support for Sifuna was based on their long political history and shared experiences in the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).

Babu maintained that he knows Sifuna well and remains fully committed to supporting his presidential bid.
He also criticised unnamed individuals whom he accused of attempting to sabotage Linda Mwananchi from within.
The legislator warned that the movement would not allow individuals with divided loyalties to derail its plans or weaken its unity.
He urged anyone joining Linda Mwananchi to fully support its activities rather than pursuing competing political interests.
Babu said individuals who were unwilling to commit to the movement could instead support President William Ruto’s political camp.
He further called on opposition leaders to unite behind Sifuna as the movement seeks to strengthen its political base ahead of the 2027 General Election.
The Embakasi East MP said the broader objective was to build a united opposition front capable of backing Sifuna’s bid for the presidency and taking him to State House.
