The authorities in Kigumo Sub-County have recovered a stash of stolen police uniforms
Among the items recovered wer were several pieces of government-issued attire, including jungle trousers, a shirt with a corporal’s chevron, and a blue police jersey.
According to reports, the uniforms are believed to have been stolen from a police station in Nyamira North, despite being recovered more than 180 km away.
The suspect was placed in custody pending further investigations.
The authorities further affirmed commitment to protecting government property and preventing the misuse of police equipment, as such misuse could compromise public safety and security.
