Suba North Member of Parliament Millie Odhiambo has raised concerns after another man died in police custody.
The Suba North MP claimed that the man mysteriously died in a police cell.
“These deaths in police cells cannot go on. Albert Ojwang’s case is not solved; they have now killed Mr. Onditi from Ndhuru, in my constituency. Yet another death in Homabay County. Then they are giving the stupid story of suicide yet again”, the ODM MP stated.
This comes a week after Albert Ojwang died while in police custody in Nairobi, which sparked a public outcry.
Reports indicate that he was arrested in Homa Bay County and transported to Nairobi over publishing defamatory statements against Deputy IG Eliud Langat.
The police claimed that Ojwang died after allegedly banging his head against a wall.
However, when an autopsy was conducted, it was discovered that he died as a result of head injury and neck compressions.
