Kenyan singer and entrepreneur Esther Akoth, alias Akothee, has recently addressed the collapse of her much-publicised marriage with her ex-partner Omosh.
In an emotional post on her social media account, Akothee reflected on the irony of her situation, writing, “Big wedding, small marriage.
According to Akothee, the much praised video by the public ended due to dishonesty.
“What I, Esther Akoth Kokeyo, don’t accept in a relationship is dishonesty. He never disclosed to me that he has been battling mental health since birth”, Akothee stated.
“I was losing myself and had to pick up myself every time he lost it. I couldn’t carry on with the ndoa because I felt betrayed.Say what you want, do what you can, but since I am not your child, you can’t beat me,” she added.
The singer further described the experience as “suicidal if you are not strong,”and prayed that her children never face a similar situation.
