Residents in Eastleigh reportedly staged protests following the alleged abduction of a businessman.
According to reports, this is the fifth case of reported disappearances in the area within the past month.
Following the incident, the demonstrators issued a 24-hour ultimatum to authorities on Thursday, April 2, 2025, demanding the immediate release of 33-year-old Shukri Hassan and calling for action to curb the rising cases.
According to reports by family members, Hassan was allegedly abducted on Saturday evening, March 28, in Fedha Estate, within the Pipeline area, by armed men dressed in plain clothes.

Reports indicate that the men handcuffed him before forcing him into a black Prado and driving away, an incident that was captured on CCTV cameras.
According to relatives, they have made efforts to trace him by visiting police stations and mortuaries across Nairobi but have not found any information on his whereabouts
They added that the last signal from his mobile phone was traced to the Runda area, raising further questions about his disappearance.
According to the demonstrators, if Hassan is suspected of any wrongdoing, authorities should follow due process and present him before a court of law.
