Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino has been recognized as the best MP in Kenya.
He received the award on Thursday, April 2, during the Starleaders awards ceremony held at the Serena Hotel in Nairobi.
In a statement on Friday, April 3, Babu thanked the residents of Embakasi East, noting that the recognition reflects their support and trust, which continue to inspire his work.

The lawmaker noted that his track record is a reflection of a collective commitment to progress, accountability, and effective service delivery.
He added that his priority remains achieving tangible outcomes that positively impact the lives of wananchi.
Babu reiterated his commitment to serving with integrity and humility, emphasizing that leadership is about service and a consistent focus on the needs of the people.
Notably, Mbeere North MP Leonard Wa Muthende was named the best-performing parliamentarian in Embu County and ranked 11th nationally.
In a Facebook post, Wa Muthende dedicated the recognition to the residents of Mbeere North, saying the award reflects their support and trust, which motivates him to continue delivering development and positive change.
At the same ceremony, Kisii Governor Simba Arati was honored as the best-performing county leader in the country.
