Police officers have recovered 300 goats that had been stolen from two local herders.
According to reports, the goats had been stolen by five suspected rustlers.
“Upon receiving the report, officers from Garbatula Police Station responded swiftly and launched an immediate pursuit,” NPS stated.
“The team followed the trail of the stolen animals to the Malkandaka area, where they encountered five suspected rustlers. The suspects fled the scene, abandoning the animals and evading arrest”, the service added.
The detectives then secured and safely returned them to their rightful owners.
They have therefore launched investigations to arrest and track down the suspects.
