Detectives from the Anti-Narcotics Unit (ANU) are holding six suspects linked to a bhang trafficking operation in Mombasa.
According to a statement released on Sunday, November 23, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) noted that the seized drugs were valued at approximately KSh72 million.
The arrests followed a tip-off indicating that traffickers were transporting sacks of bhang in a lorry headed to Mombasa.

Two suspects were found inside the lorry, while the remaining accomplices were intercepted in three separate vehicles.
The DCI reported that the operation was coordinated by ANU officers in Mombasa, leading to the arrest of the six individuals and the recovery of the narcotics.
Unaware of the looming operation, the suspects proceeded along the Nairobi–Mombasa Highway.
Detectives later intercepted the lorry, registered as KDT 659G, and conducted a compulsory inspection.
