President William Ruto has paid tribute to renowned gospel musician Betty Bayo, describing her as a beacon of faith whose music inspired millions in Kenya and beyond.
Taking to his socials on Monday, November 10, Ruto reflected on Bayo’s rise to fame, noting that her breakthrough song became a source of encouragement for believers across the nation.
He praised her work as more than just music, calling it a ministry that offered hope, comfort, and strength to many facing life’s challenges.

The Head of State went on to note that Bayo’s legacy would continue to inspire generations of gospel musicians and believers alike.
Betty Bayo passed away on Monday afternoon at 1:03 p.m. while receiving treatment at Kenyatta National Hospital.
According to a family representative, Bayo had been battling advanced-stage leukemia and was also suffering from excessive bleeding.
She had been transferred to Kenyatta National Hospital on Friday, November 7, where doctors made every effort to save her life.
Her body has since been moved to KU Referral Hospital, and the family is expected to release further details regarding funeral arrangements.
