Wajackoyah Claims He was Offered Money to Join Gov’t

Roots Party Leader George Wajackoyah has recently claimed that he was once offered money and promised 150 acres of land in Narok County to join the government.

Speaking during an interview on NTV, Wajackoyah alleged that a current serving governor approached him and told him he would get a Cabinet secretary position.

“Recently, the Ruto group offered me lots of money, a governor spoke to me to join as a Cabinet Secretary, and somebody told me, we shall give you 150 acres around Narok,” Wajackoyah claimed.

The former presidential candidate moreover noted that he turned down the offer, saying if President Ruto wanted to offer him a position, he should have called him directly so they could arrange a meeting.

“I was like hell no, why can’t Ruto himself pick up a phone and call me and then say look professor, can we meet and discuss issues affecting this country,” Wajackoyah stated.

Wajackoyah also went on to reveal how he was looked down upon by other leaders while he was in the Azimio coalition.

“When I was with the Azimio Coalition, they did not want to listen to me. They saw me as inferior, they didn’t want to listen to me, and I was like a spectator following them around,” he stated.
