Kariobangi North Member of the County Assembly (MCA) Joel Muvune has passed away.
According to reports, the MCA died while receiving treatment at a private hospital along Kiambu Road, Nairobi.
His death was confirmed by Nairobi County Assembly Speaker Kennedy Ngondi, who stated that Muvune was going to the office in CBD when he started developing chest pains.
He was rushed to the hospital but unfortunately passed away.
Ngondi’s body was moved to Lee Funeral Home, awaiting autopsy.
While pouring out his tributes, Ngondi described him as a hard-working MCA who had his people at heart.
“The leadership of the County Assembly is deeply saddened to announce the untimely passing of one of our members, Joel Muvune, who is the elected member up to date for Kariobangi North ward”, the speaker said.
“His sudden demise is a profound loss to his family, his constituents and the entire Nairobi City county government. On behalf of the county assembly speaker of Nairobi and my behalf as the speaker, we convey our deepest condolences to the family, friends and constituents of Muvune”, he added.
