Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika and her husband, Sam Mburu, recently shared photos of their newborn twins.
The Nakuru County boss has been on maternity leave in the United States, which sparked outrage towards the people of Nakuru due to her extended stay abroad.
However, in a photo which circulated online on Friday, April 11, 2025, Kihika was seen together with her husband and her twins.
The photo showed Kihika seated in a beige armchair in a white blouse, supporting the twins on her lap while her husband stood beside her, dressed in a blue-patterned shirt and white trousers.
Governor Kihika’s absence from office left people wondering how a sitting governor could be away from her official duties for such an extended period.
Despite that, Kihika reassured the public that the duties in the county were running smoothly under her deputy governor.
Other sections of the public also speculated that the governor was allegedly operating a private law firm in the United States.
