Four family members have died in a gruesome road accident that involved a saloon car and a school bus.
The incident which occurred on Sunday, April 6, 2025, left a popular businessman from Port Victoria dead.
According to reports, the deceased businessman (47) was driving his family home, which included his two sons aged 5 and 10 years, respectively and their house help, wife and another child.
The deceased was driving them in a saloon car from Siaya towards Nyandorera when they faced a head-on collision and died on the spot.
Reports indicate that the saloon car was trying to overtake a lorry when it crashed into an oncoming school bus belonging to Yogo Academy.
The businessman’s wife and another child sustained injuries and are currently in a critical condition, as well as the school bus driver.
They were all rushed to Siaya County referral hospital for treatment.
The four bodies were moved to the Siaya County referral hospital mortuary, awaiting postmortem examination.
