Body found dumped in Makongo forest along the Mchakos-Wote road in Makueni County over the weekend has been confirmed to be Campbell’s Scott (58).
The deceased went was last seen on Monday, February 17th 2025 in Westlands Nairobi.
He was on a business trip to Kenya where he was supposed to meet with officials from the US, UK, and several African nations.
When several attempts to reach him failed, the concerned individuals reported the matter to the authorities.
But on February 22nd 2025, locals grazing in Makongo forest found a sack containing a decomposing body.
Investigations revealed that the body had been bound with ropes and its face severely burnt.
According to the detectives, the burns may have been possibly caused by an acid to hide the victim’s identity.
The area assistant chief, Francis Kanyaa claimed that they were unable to identify the body which was transferred to Makueni Referral hospital for further examination.
During the investigation by homicide detectives in 24th January 2025, some individuals told citizen digital that the body had been identified as Scott’s.
Investigations are still continuing to unveil the cause of the motives behind his death.
