Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Kuria East have arrested three suspects linked to a robbery with violence incident that occurred on the night of March 14, 2026, along Getrimba Road.
According to investigators, the suspects were apprehended following a coordinated operation involving detectives from the DCI Kuria East and officers from Kegonga Police Station.
The incident reportedly occurred while the victim was on his way to respond to a distress call from a friend.

He was driving a Toyota Probox accompanied by his wife and another female passenger.
While traveling along Getrimba Road, their vehicle was ambushed by about seven attackers riding three motorcycles, one of whom was armed with a rifle.
The gang allegedly robbed the victim of KSh 320,000, which had been placed on the vehicle’s dashboard.
During the confrontation, the victim managed to pull out the magazine from the rifle that had been pointed at him, briefly disrupting the attackers before they fled the scene.
Acting swiftly on investigative leads, officers traced the suspects to Korumagucha Village, where three individuals were arrested.
They were identified as Samuel Nyamohanga Chacha (40), Yusuf Marwa Mwita (24), and Muniko Samwel Mwita (44).
During the operation, officers recovered a Bajaj Boxer motorcycle suspected to have been used in the robbery, a Samsung mobile phone, a hat and a shoe believed to have been dropped during the suspects’ escape, and KSh 36,000 in cash suspected to be part of the stolen money.
The suspects remain in police custody pending arraignment as investigations continue.
