Two people have been killed and one injured after a tragic accident involving a lorry along the Bomet-Kaplong Highway.
According to a statement issued by the Motorists Association of Kenya, the lorry plunged into the Nzoia River on Sunday morning.
Reports indicated that the survivor has been rushed to the Kaplong Hospital for medical attention.

Photos of the accident shared online showed the lorry completely overturned with extensive damage to its front side.
Responding units were deployed to the accident scene to retrieve the lorry from the river.
The accident comes at a time when the country is witnessing a surge in road accidents that have claimed several lives.
In the past 24 hours, four people have lost their lives and four have been injured in accidents.
On Saturday, August 16, two people lost their lives and three others were injured along the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway.
The accident occurred after a trailer rammed into an oncoming pick-up truck before crashing into another lorry travelling in the same direction at Kwa Mautiiyo in Malii.
