Police in Kirinyanga have launched investigations over a woman accused of stabbing her boyfriend at Karucho Trading Centre in Gichugu Constituency.
According to reports, the suspect had been living with the deceased in a rented house at Karucho shopping Centre before the tragic incident occurred.
The Kirinyaga East (Gichugu Sub-County Police Commander Johnson Wachira stated that the 48-year-old woman might have used a blunt object since the victim had sustained head injuries.
“We are actively searching for the suspect, who is believed to be from Tharaka Nithi County” he said.
Further reports indicated that the deceased was married with three children.
His sister recounted that she was picking tea in Kimunye village, over 20 kilometres away when she received a distressing call.
When she rushed to the scene, she was shocked to find her brother’s lifeless body in a rented house.
The deceased’s body was transferred to Kibugi Funeral Home in Kuitus for postmortem examination while investigations continue.
The motive to kill him is not yet clear.
