Former Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa has invited embattled ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna, Saboti MP Caleb Amisi, and Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi to join the DAP-K party.
In an update on Friday, February 13, Wamalwa said the three leaders are welcome in DAP-K if they are expelled from ODM for standing by their principles.
He emphasized that he stands in solidarity with Sifuna, Amisi, and Osotsi amid growing pressure within the ODM party.

“We stand in solidarity with our brothers Edwin Sifuna, Caleb Amisi, and Godfrey Osotsi in their trials and tribulations at the ODM Party. We welcome them home to DAP-K if they are sacrificed and rendered political IDPs for standing by their principles and saying one term,” said Wamalwa.
Wamalwa’s remarks signal a potential shift in the political landscape, with DAP-K positioning itself as a refuge for ODM leaders facing internal challenges.
The developments follow the ODM National Executive Council (NEC) decision to remove Senator Edwin Sifuna from the Secretary General position, replacing him with Catherine Omanyo.
Sifuna’s removal came after a meeting chaired by ODM party leader Oburu Oginga. He subsequently approached the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal (PPDT), which issued orders temporarily blocking his ouster.
The tribunal also barred the parties from publishing the contested resolution in the Kenya Gazette until the matter is fully heard.
Meanwhile, Saboti MP Caleb Amisi was removed from the ODM NEC over allegations of holding two party positions simultaneously.
Amisi said he received a letter on Wednesday, February 11, notifying him of the removal. He argued that the process was not procedural, claiming the committee should have reached a unanimous decision and given him an opportunity to respond.
Both Sifuna and Amisi’s removals have sparked discussions about internal party processes and the handling of leadership disputes within ODM.
