Veteran radio broadcaster Charles Omuga Kabisae has passed away.
Charles Omuga died on Monday, August 11, after a long illness.
The body was taken to a morgue in Nairobi for preservation as his family embarks on his funeral arrangements.

The late Omuga rose to prominence in the 1990s for reading obituaries and messages of condolence. (Matangazo maalum na ya vifo)
He began his career at the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation’s (KBC) Dholuo Service in Kisumu.
Omuga later joined KBC’s Kiswahili Service after one of the presenters at KBC quit.
At KBC Kiswahili Service, Omuga expanded his audience and became one of the household names at the time.
He rose to prominence alongside renowned broadcasters such as the late Leonard Mambo Mbotela.
Omuga studied at Muslim Secondary School before joining the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication(KIMC) in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
