Police have apprehended a man in Nairobi around the Utawala area following the recovery of a loaded firearm during an intelligence-led operation.
According to the police, the suspect, identified as Brown Carlos Butrose Kombo, was arrested during a raid carried out at a residence within Kelvin Heights, Utawala, by detectives attached to Embakasi Sub-County.
During the operation, officers discovered a Glock pistol loaded with 17 rounds of ammunition, which had been hidden inside a refrigerator.
The suspect was taken into custody and will be arraigned on Monday.
