Preliminary findings indicate that the tragedy unfolded shortly after the two shared an evening meal, with the altercation ultimately resulting in the teenager’s death.

Officers who arrived at the scene found Alpha’s body lying in a pool of blood. A blood-stained Somali sword, believed to have been used in the attack, was recovered from the scene.

The body was later taken to Baragoi Sub-County Hospital mortuary for preservation and a post-mortem examination.

Police immediately launched a manhunt for the suspect and later tracked him to a hideout, where he was found attempting to wash blood-stained clothes in an apparent effort to destroy evidence.

The 30-year-old suspect is currently in police custody as investigations continue, pending his arraignment in court.
