President William Ruto has declined threats from former DP Rigathi Gachagua that he will be a one-term President.
This he dismissed during his visit in Mandera claiming that the 2027 elections will not be any different from any polls.
He therefore stated that people ‘Gachagua’ should remain calm as elections is not coming anytime soon.
Threats about my one term Presidency is not my concern. The 2027 elections won’t be any difference from any others that we have done before. ‘Tuliza ball’ There are no elections this year or next year.
The President said.
He added that his current focus is to build roads, adding electricity to houses and ensure that children are educated promising to change Kenya for the better.
The Head of State also assured that he won’t be threatened by his political ambitions as he has served in Kenya as a politician for over 25 years.
I won’t be threatened by 2027 elections. I have been a member of Parliament for 15 years; I have been Deputy President for 10 years and now I am President. What will anyone threaten me with? What is that I have not become?
The Head of Republic further joked that those people threatening him have neither been a President nor understand its repercussions.
