TSC Refutes Reports of Delayed July Teachers’ Pay Rise

The Teacher Service Commission (TSC) have responded over speculation over the expected July 2026 salary increment,.

In an advisory note issued on Saturday, July 18, 2026, the commission warned teachers against a fake statement claiming that salary increases under the second phase of the 2025-2029 Collective Bargaining Agreement would be delayed until August.

The fake document had alleged that although TSC had confirmed the implementation of the CBA salary review from July 1, the month’s PAYE ‘s had been processed before the revised salaries were incorporated.

According to the fake notice, teachers would instead receive the new salaries in the August payroll, together with arrears backdated to July 1.

However, the commission distanced itself from the notice and urged the public not to rely on the false communication.

The false claims come after reports indicated that the commission closed the month’s payroll on June 15 ahead of salary payments for more than 400,000 teachers.

Educators have been speculating on whether the second phase of the CBA salary increment would be reflected in their pay.
