“Godfrey Mwasiaga Kakan Maiyo, the suspect behind a viral video inciting violence against police officers and their families, has been arrested. The video had been uploaded to his TikTok account. Detectives trailed the suspect to Kimathi House, where he was operating a discreet office under the name LetaPeleka Logistics,” DCI stated.

He is currently in police custody undergoing processing, pending arraignment in court.

The confirmation comes after a video circulating on social media showed DCI officers arresting Maiyo at his office on the evening of Wednesday, July 9.

In the video, Maiyo is heard lamenting his arrest and warning the officers to handle him carefully, cautioning that they might get shocked by electricity.

After the arrest, Maiyo’s friend claimed they were unable to trace him and that he was not at the police station where he was reportedly taken.
