Irene Nekesa, a former house help at Diana Marua and Bahati’s household has recently opened up on the struggles she is facing and the tough living conditions in her house.

Giving a tour of her bedsitter, she noted that fans have been asking her where she lives after leaving Diana Marua’s house.

She said that people might have sensed that she is not living well, and she decided to open up in case there’s someone out there who wants to help.

“There are people who ask me. ‘Irene, where do you live? Irene, what are you doing?’ I don’t know why people ask me. Maybe they see that I am not living well. People from social media actually read people’s minds. So today I want to tell you the truth. Maybe you can see that this person wants this and this.”

She revealed that she was initially sleeping on the floor, but a kind lady gave her a used mattress.

“My house does not have anything. It does not have a chair or a bed. The mattress I was given by someone, it is a small one and I had slept on the floor for three days. I can plead with furniture people to help me out. If we can work together, I’ll help you to market them. I’ll also place my number somewhere there.”

Irene further admitted that she had to take her son back to the village since the situation was tough and she is still struggling to raise money for rent.

“I had to take Joshua back to my rural area because the situation was not nice. Maybe he would have wondered what is wrong since his mum does not have money.”

She is currently looking for a job or any kind of help that will make it possible for her to afford meals and rent.

Irene worked with Diana Marua for close to seven years and they parted ways on good terms.
