Suspected Serial Killer Arrested in Kiambu Murders

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have nabbed a suspect linked to the murder of two women in Thika, Kiambu County.

The suspect, identified as Samuel King’ara Kimani, is reportedly responsible for the murder of a 22-year-old, Rosemary Njeri Ndekei and a 20-year-old, Hellen Wambui Ndung’u.

The first incident occurred on March 17, 2025, after Ndekei disappeared shortly leaving Thika town to shop for clothes.

This prompted her boyfriend and family to file a missing person report at the Thika Police Station.

Later on, her body was discovered in a coffee plantation in Karibaribi on March 18, 2025, where she was transferred to General Kago Mortuary.

When an autopsy was conducted, it was discovered that she died from manual strangulation and blunt force trauma to the head.

The second incident occurred on March 31, 2025, when Ndung’u went missing after being sent by her mother to buy food at Ngorongo Trading Centre.

Her body was later discovered in a nearby bush concealed by soil.

The suspect is in custody as further investigation continues.
